Anamaria Marina is an Romanian actress. Her first screen appearance was in Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 movie for which she won the British Academy Television Award as the Best Actress. French, German English and Romanian are fluent languages. Her father is a theatre professor at one of Romania's finest acting schools. In the Mangalia Gala of Young Actors in 2000, she took home the Best Female Actor Award 2000. In 2008, the European Film Promotion Board named her a European Shooting Star in 2008. She starred as an actor from Romania in Romanian actress in Cristian Mungiu's film 4 months 3 weeks and two days (four months three weeks and two three weeks and two days) which was awarded with the Palme d'Or and other prizes during the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. Additionally, she was a part in Francis Ford Coppola's film Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she was the character Yasim Anwar in BBC series The Last Enemy. Marinca was also a part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. She played Irma In Fury 2014 in which she played the role of a German name aunt of Emma.
